Koprum Massage: Copper Dreams

Manuel Polls

It happened when I woke up from the KOPRUM massage…

I woke up consciously, gently and smoothly, in a delicate, natural way, lying face down on my comfortable stretcher. Very serene, but aware of having lived a wonderful experience.

Delicate cotton towels still surrounded me, the touch of which seemed absolutely pleasant to me, while I was still immersed in the embers of my dreams. I noticed the presence of my masseuse, up there, on the “surface”, I think I remember his name was Rubén, who began to remove his precious hands and copper stones from my back, arms and legs.

I had the feeling that a serene order was flooding in and settling into my body, everything stealthily being placed in its place, as well as in the harmonious and beautiful massage room, elegantly illuminated in copper tones. A holistic feeling had settled in me that I was part of a harmonious whole.

I perceived music coming from the deep Tibetan bowls; They must have been playing during the entire duration of the KOPRUM massage, since I remembered them from the beginning of the session, when I entered the massage room. I asked Rubén and he told me that they were author's recordings, of his own creation. A soundtrack designed exclusively for relaxation.

“So I've been able to reach deep sleep all this time, through different tones and frequencies of Tibetan bowls!” I said to myself, pleasantly surprised. And I felt somewhat proud of having achieved it, and indebted to my guides-masseuses for the relaxation achieved.

The large massage room was very subtly scented. Rubén, who during my awakening continued collecting his coppers and massage utensils, told me that they use oils from HAMMAM GARDEN, which refer to the Andalusian garden of the Caliphate of Córdoba, with the magic number 7, seven essences, 7 products.

All essences are related to the Edenic garden, depending on the time and collection methods of the year. He added without me asking, and I thanked him, that the bowls are Tibetan and are composed of 5 metals, 5 being the essential and magical number of Tibet.

I allow myself to speak of Rubén as my “guide” because from the beginning I felt like a “traveler” towards a landscape of relaxation, with valleys, hills, streams and emotional places devoid of stress...

Furthermore, this is what the people who welcomed me two hours earlier at the Spa reception had referred to me as a “traveler”, when they served me a fragrant tea, with different flavor options and sweeteners (I was hesitant, but finally I chose the tea of jasmine, with honey due to the coincidence of the copper color).

While I was tasting the tea with very selected nuts, my masseuse and guide, Rubén, spoke to me about KOPRUM as an experiential journey towards well-being, and recommended that I feel like his “traveler” from that moment on, and trust in his expert hands.

The truth is that, in the explanations about the KOPRUM massage that I had read at home on the Cobre29 Spa website, the entire corollary of intimate emotions and daydreams that I had now achieved during the experience lived here at the Spa were not mentioned. .

A real, in-person experience, devoid of any hint of virtuality. On the website there was indeed talk of a musical atmosphere, candles, preparation of stones and hot oil. The intentions of the KOPRUM massage were also described a sensory and experiential immersion, as the most complete and most special immersion at Cobre29 Spa. I read all that days before, while I was deciding which massage to choose: I also read that the difference between KOPRUM and others is the use of copper stones, “…because we must not forget that contact with copper makes us happy.” .

In the Cobre29 Spa explanations it was also said that copper has multiple benefits for the health and well-being of the skin. And that copper purifies, revitalizes, helps the nervous system, and gives a beautiful effect to the skin, and prolongs the tan...

When I called Cobre29 Spa to book, they confirmed that this KOPRUM immersion is performed with slow, soft and deep manipulations accompanied by hot copper stones on the muscles, achieving complete muscular and mental relaxation.

But cautiously they did not tell me about dreams!

I understand the Spa's caution in this regard because each person is different and we should not create expectations that cannot be guaranteed. But speaking with Rubén in this regard, he told me that a high percentage of KOPRUM travelers fall asleep during the massage, and afterwards they tell him that they have had absolutely pleasant and relaxing daydreams, during the hour, hour and a half that the KOPRUM lasts (because There is no taximeter here and each massage lasts as long as it should, depending on the sensations that the guide perceives from the traveler).

That is the wonderful difference of the experiential nature of KOPRUM compared to other possibilities and moments.

I woke up then, and the world, and my little world, had regained the sense of the search for serenity, and well-being.

Well-being is a word often used sometimes without being aware of the subject, and yet how much natural philosophy there is behind that term! I finally seemed to understand lucidly.

It is a very personal assessment, but I will tell you one of my conclusions: Well-being is each of us, when we rediscover ourselves, without stress, at peace, reconciled with our deep self, on the path to happiness!

I don't want to go on much longer talking about my experience with KOPRUM, but I had the impression that my most intimate dreams during the massage had also been the dreams of copper.

A little like the French philosopher Gaston Bachélard would have said about water in his indispensable work that I recommend to you “Water and Dreams”…

It was as if the heat of the copper stones that were deposited on my skin during the massage on my body (back, arms, legs), had come into contact with the copper of the proteins and cuproenzymes that inhabit my body, recognizing each other. , as part of a whole.

A whole of the same universal essence of copper. Because let's remember that copper is part, among others, of the mitochondrial complex necessary for our respiration, and therefore of each of the cells in our body. Also in plants…

The biosphere, as we know it, breathes thanks to copper!

My infinite gratitude to Cobre29 Spa for helping me dream of reality, to get rid of stress and discover everything mentioned above.

I understand that copper is the best energy conductor in the world, and its conductivity implies absence of pitfalls, perfect fluidity without the need to move from place to place, without any stagnation...

Only internal movements of energy full of harmony, bathed in the subtle polyphony of the matter of copper and its dreams.

This is exactly how it happened, and I hope to enjoy the KOPRUM massage as soon as I return to Valencia.

For me, Valencia, Cobre29 Spa and KOPRUM are already inseparable entities, both in my cartography of favorite places and in my passport of physical health and emotional well-being!
